The Cathedral Catholic (San Diego) standout was productive on both sides of the ball as a junior, recording 40 tackles and three takeaways on defense while adding more than 1,500 yards and 30 touchdowns on offense.
After announcing his decision, Fa’alave-Johnson told reporters that staying home and representing California played a major role in his choice. The nation’s top-rated player narrowed his recruitment to a top-3 of USC, Texas and Miami.
